College Hill is a residential neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. Originally a suburb called Pleasant Hill due to its prime location, it was renamed College Hill because of the two colleges that were established there in the mid-nineteenth century. The neighborhood is not to be confused with North College Hill, which borders College Hill to the north but is not part of Cincinnati.
Today College Hill features mature tree-lined streets, beautiful churches, several lovely parks and a splash playground. Also convenient is the College Hill Rec Center with indoor track, weight room, and many workout classes.
College Hill also boasts many historic homes and mansions. One of note is Laurel Court, the former Buddy Larosa mansion,
owned by the famous Larosa’s Pizza founder. Tours are given throughout the year for a nominal fee.
Notable businesses on the Avenue are the College Hill Coffee Company, Marty’s Hops and
Vines, and Bacall’s Restaurant.
